Smart ForTwo fortwo cabrio Brabus

At Garage-11, we love rear-wheel drive German cars with the engine out back. It should therefore not come as a surprise that this little 'powerpuff' fits us like a glove. Manufactured in 2017, but Smart's wonderful fortwo has a longer history than one might first imagine. In the mid-90s, Mercedes took over a failed project that the watch manufacturer Swatch had with Volkswagen with the ambition to produce a small city car with a focus on style and to attract younger buyers. In 1998 Smart launches its first car under the Daimler-Benz umbrella and the car toke the world by storm. The extremely well-packaged fortwo (then City coupe) had about the wheelbase of a tennis shoe and was sold almost exclusively in two-tone colours. A small car with a big personality was born. At the end of 2014, this model was launched, which was a big step forward for the company. Improved safty. Improved interior and materials were just some of the updates.

As said, this example is from 2017 and in the cabriolet version. The exterior has taken on a slightly more aggressive appearance thanks to the Mercedes specialist Brabus, which of course also put its teeth into Smart's cars. The matt gray paintwork is separated by black parts and complemented by gray Brabus rims. Even without having to open the door, the inside shines through to the outside. Clad in white and light blue fabric, the inside shows another part of the fortwo's personality. Here you are surrounded by rounder shapes and a more relaxed appearance. Conveniences such as Bluetooth and climate control can be found in the center console, where you also find control to open the convertible top.

A very SMART version of a unique variant of Smart's legendary fortwo.
