Land Rover Defender 90 V8 50th Anniversary

Chelsea 1979 introduces you to this special vehicle.


To celebrate 50 years of the iconic model, Land Rover produced 1,071 special edition vehicles; 385 stayed in the United Kingdom and the rest of the limited edition is divided into these countries: Japan 451, Germany 180, France 25, Holland 20 and Belgium 10.


This Special Edition had a generous amount of extras as standard.


Special paint color known as Atlantis Blue and was powered by the 190 hp 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine, which was mated to a ZF four-speed automatic gearbox, both from the Range Rover.


It also had air conditioning, safety devices in the front cabin, roll cage; Each came with a numbered commemorative plaque on the right rear, making it a very rare and desirable product for collectors.


An original left-hand drive example, this is number 80 of the 180 cars manufactured for the German market.


The rear of the cabin features inward-facing jump seats along with a Land Rover-branded floor.

The left-hand drive cabin features a 50th Anniversary Edition plaque on the center console bears displaying the number 080 and additional details including air conditioning, lockable storage in the center console and crank windows manual.


The black-finished alloy wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires in size 265/75 R16, which were installed in 2023.


A matching spare part is located in the folding rear door.


Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.

The vehicle was imported to Spain by the owner in 2022, currently has a Spanish registration and has been owned by the seller for the last 5 years.
