1984 Ferrari Mondial powered by the 3.0L V8 QV producing 240 bhp
The Ferrari Mondial is a mid-engined, V8, grand tourer manufactured and marketed by Ferrari between 1980 and 1993. The Mondial was styled by Pininfarina and has body work by Carrozzeria Scaglietti. Offered as either a 2+2 coupé or cabriolet, the Mondial has a slightly higher roofline, greater dimensions and increased weight to accommodate occasional rear seating for children or small adults. The Mondial replaced the Ferrari 308/208 GT4 coupé and remains the last V8, rear mid-engined, 2+2 Ferrari.
The name Mondial, French for global, reflected its worldwide conformance with 1980 safety and emission standards, as well as the company's prominent motor racing victories. Ferrari had used the nameplate in the 1950s to celebrate Formula 1 World Championships and again in the 1970s to mark its Formula 1 World Constructors Championships.
Pininfarina's bodywork was manufactured by coachbuilder Carrozzeria Scaglietti. Louvre grilles are located on each side of the vehicle just ahead of the rear wheels providing intake air to the engine on the right and on the left, providing air to an external oil cooler located ahead of the rear wheel arch. The Mondial chassis features detachable sub-frames holding major mechanical assemblies, including one at the rear supporting the engine/transmission/rear suspension assembly, to simplify engine service compared to previous V8 Ferraris.
While most body panels are steel, the front lid and rear engine cover of the Mondial 8 and QV models are aluminum.
In the Mondial 8 the V8 employs two valves-per-cylinder, and this increases to four valves-per-cylinder for the Quattrovalvole QV , and ours is a QV producing 240 BHP in comparison to the 214 in the mondial 8.
Our mondial QV that we present today is in beautiful original configuration inside and out and she has just received her big big service of a total of 7.200 € (invoice on request). The previous big service was done in 2020.
She comes in the beautiful color of Rosso Dino, not bright red but a bit lighter. Absolutely stunning in combination with her cream leather.
Accompanied with her service book, showing that she was delivered new in Milan, Italy and since 2019 on Belgian registration, carpass and our stamp of approval.

De Ferrari Mondial is een middenmotor, V8, grand tourer geproduceerd en op de markt gebracht door Ferrari tussen 1980 en 1993. De Mondial is vormgegeven door Pininfarina en de carrosserie is van Carrozzeria Scaglietti. De Mondial werd aangeboden als 2+2 coupé of cabriolet en heeft een iets hogere daklijn, grotere afmetingen en een hoger gewicht om plaats te bieden aan kinderen of kleine volwassenen. De Mondial verving de Ferrari 308/208 GT4 coupé en blijft de laatste 2+2 Ferrari met V8, achterste middenmotor.
De naam Mondial, Frans voor wereldwijd, weerspiegelde de wereldwijde conformiteit met de veiligheids- en emissienormen van 1980, evenals de prominente overwinningen van het bedrijf in de autosport. Ferrari had het naamplaatje in de jaren 1950 gebruikt om Formule 1-wereldkampioenschappen te vieren en opnieuw in de jaren 1970 om haar Formule 1-wereldkampioenschappen voor constructeurs te vieren.
Het koetswerk van Pininfarina werd vervaardigd door carrosseriebouwer Carrozzeria Scaglietti. Louvre-roosters bevinden zich aan elke kant van de auto, net voor de achterwielen, en zorgen voor luchtinlaat voor de motor aan de rechterkant en aan de linkerkant, voor luchttoevoer naar een externe oliekoeler die zich voor de achterste wielkast bevindt. Het Mondial-chassis heeft afneembare subframes die de belangrijkste mechanische assemblages bevatten, waaronder één achteraan die de motor/transmissie/achterwielophanging ondersteunt, om het onderhoud van de motor te vereenvoudigen in vergelijking met vorige V8 Ferrari's.Terwijl de meeste carrosseriepanelen van staal zijn, zijn de voorklep en het achterdeksel van de Mondial 8 en QV van aluminium.
In de Mondial 8 heeft de V8 twee kleppen per cilinder, en dit wordt verhoogd naar vier kleppen per cilinder voor de Quattrovalvole QV, en de onze is een QV die 240 pk produceert in vergelijking met de 214 in de Mondial 8.
Onze mondiale QV die we vandaag presenteren is van binnen en van buiten in prachtige originele configuratie en ze heeft net haar grote onderhoudsbeurt gehad voor een totaalbedrag van 7.200 € (factuur op aanvraag). De vorige grote onderhoudsbeurt is uitgevoerd in 2020.
Ze wordt geleverd in de prachtige kleur Rosso Dino, niet felrood
