Das von uns angebotene Exemplar ist aus dem letzten Produktionsjahr (1969) und daher mit dem seltenen langen Radstand. Später wurden 912 auf Basis des G-Modells gebaut, die jedoch über einen VW-Motor verfügten. Insgesamt ein gepflegtes Auto, das in den USA ausgeliefert wurde. Kardex und Geburtsurkunde sind vorhanden und belegen, dass es sich sowohl hinsichtlich des Motors als auch des Getriebes um ein passendes Auto handelt. Ausgestattet mit schönen Optionen wie einem 5-Gang-Getriebe (Dogleg), belüfteten und verchromten Felgen, getönten Scheiben und Klimaanlage. Letzteres steht nicht auf der Optionsliste und wurde beim liefernden Händler aus Las Cruses (New Mexico) eingebaut. Dank des trockenen und salzfreien Klimas ist das Auto noch in einem sehr guten Zustand und hat teilweise sogar noch seinen Erstlack. Die anderen Lackstärken sind etwas höher, zeigen aber eine kühle Masse. Rund um das Reserverad ist leichter Rost sichtbar. Laut Dokumentation des Konkurrenten RM Sotheby's lief das Auto ursprünglich 24.576 Meilen und der Motor wurde 2013 für 8.500 US-Dollar vom Porsche-Spezialisten Steve Rowe aus Denver überholt.

The copy we offer is from the last year of production (1969) and therefore with the rare long wheelbase. Later, 912s were built based on the G model, but they had a VW engine. Overall a neat car that was delivered in the USA. Kardex and birth certificate are present and indicate that it is a matching car in terms of both engine and gearbox. Equipped with nice options such as a 5-speed gearbox (dogleg), ventilated and chrome rims, tinted glass and air conditioning. The latter is not on the options list and was installed at the supplying dealer from Las Cruses (New Mexico). Thanks to the dry and salt-free climate, the car is still in very good condition and even partly still has its first paint. The other paint thicknesses are slightly higher but show a cool body. There is light rust formation visible around the location of the spare wheel. According to documentation from competitor RM Sotheby's, the car originally ran 24,576 miles and the engine was overhauled in 2013 for $8,500 by Porsche specialist Steve Rowe from Denver.
