Lamborghini Diablo / 8999km

In the late 80's Lamborghini was set to replace the aging Contach and Lambo being Lambo the new car had to be more of everything. More power, wilder design... And the new car did not diaspoint, and over time the model become synonymous with the brand for many. The sharp design, signed by Marcello Gandini, was recognizable from its predecessor. Much thanks to the fact that it was also Gandini who penned the design here. But the Diablo breathes new life with its 493 hp and modern design. The exterior seems completely devoid of round shapes, instead boasting straight angles and a largely horizontal windscreen. The dramatic roofline gives the impression of being there only to create aerodynamics around the huge V12 and where the coupe appears to be a byproduct. The nose of the car dips down over the front wheels and hides its headlights under pop-ups. Of course, it was the 90s after all. And even though the car feels huge, it always seems to flaunt small, beautiful details. The feeling of the car's size becomes more and more linked to the presence it has in the room. Not the actual size. The small OZ split rims hide huge contact areas to the road before you get to the rear end which aggressively shows off its 4 tailpipes.

The exterior is jet black with only contrast from the polished rims and if you catch a glimpse of the interior. Timeless and uncompromising. A click and a slight lift to open the doors which of course go upwards and you are invited to a beige interior. If you think the exterior was dramatic, you won't be disappointed here. The seating position feels completely bizarre and can hardly be compared to anything else in the automotive world. The center console appears to flow down from the windshield, culminating in an open gated shifter that surrounds the gear selector.

This example is believed to be the only Swedish-sold example of this iteration of the Diablo and with a milage setting that makes you think you are looking at a new car. 8999km indicated and supported by documentation. Most likely one of the best preserved specimens in the world. Lamborghini's legendary Diablo is a timeless classic with modern performance. Absolutely bursting with character and oozing Italian automotive art.
