Beautiful and well-preserved XK 120 Fixed Head Coupe with a fantastic history

XK120 refers to the 120 mph (190 km/h) the car was claimed to be capable of, record attempts with an open model were even faster, making the model the fastest mass production car at the time

The XK120 was produced from 1948 - 1954 and came in 3 versions, a completely open 2-seater Open Two Seater, a convertible called the Drop Head Coupe and then this closed Fixed Head Coupe, a total of 12045 examples were produced of which only 2477 are of this left-wing FHC

The car here was delivered to France from new in 1952, and in 1958 the car was featured in the film "Les Amants" (The lovers), with the French actress and singer Jeanne Moreau in the lead role, unfortunately it is not known who owned the car at this time , but according to the papers it comes with, the car was owned from 1967 to 1981 by Berhard Duhamel from Cannes, after which it was bought by the French racing driver and richman Marcel Petitjean, who during the corona crisis chose to put his huge collection of 96 special cars up for auction, where several of the brought in over 1. mill. dollars - (Certificate with his name included of course)

The car itself appears nice and well-preserved, we think it is still in original paint as there are a few paint imperfections here and there.

Jaguar Heritage Trust is also included, it shows that the car appears in the original color combination - however, the engine has been changed / upgraded to C-type Cylinder.

All in all, a fantastic car that deserves a good home and where the next chapter in its history can be told.

As something special, the car is still equipped with its original carburetors, which according to Jaguar specialists is very rare and internationally raises the price by Euro 10-13.000 - but don't worry, we haven't added that to the price of this :-).
