The 993 Turbo is the ultimate iteration of an air-cooled Porsche and a car that for many represents Porsche at its very best. When the car was launched in 1995, it was a creation without precedent. 408hp in its basic version but as here with the coveted WLS package 450hp, four-wheel drive and 0-100 in 4.5 seconds were the big selling points, but it was the combination with Porsche's reliability and ease of use that made the car completely unique in the market. As I said, this wonderful example shines in its dark blue exterior, which Porsche themselves call Ocean Blue Metallic. At first glance, you quickly understand why the car was so loved. Soft clean lines combined with the ethos of function over form make the car naturally beautiful. The large wing that gently folds over the rear that is home to the only emblem on the exterior. 'Turbo'. 18" Turbotwist rims dressed in N-marked Michelin rubber of course over red calipers. The metallic blue exterior adds an elegant aspect to this 993 and gives the exterior a completely unique impression.

Open the door and you are greeted by a functional and stripped-down interior. Upholstery in blue leather combined with an equally blue carpet. It's easy to get nostalgic about the charm of a 993 interior. No SportChrono packages, no Burmeister systems. What was included at no extra cost was a driving experience. In front of you, five gauges. Right there under 3 pedals and in the middle a 6-speed manual gearbox. PDK i-think-not. However, here they have chosen to update to an original Porsche PCM, which gives the driver support for amenities such as Apple CarPlay and navigation.
