Information in English: Ferrari Testarossa Rosso Corsa
We primarily know the capital of France as the city of love and modern art. As of today, we can add a love for classic art to that, because this iconic Testarossa Monospecchio / Monodado was originally delivered in Paris by the official Ferrari dealer Charles Pozzi—named after its founder. What makes this car even more special is that its current Dutch owner has owned the Italian legend since 1993. Over the past three decades, the Testarossa has been maintained and pampered by Ferrari Kroymans in Hilversum. A folder with service history and original documentation confirms what any connoisseur can almost literally see dripping off the Rosso Corsa body: this is truly a gem of a machine!
History
The right specification, the right colors, the right history—this Ferrari Testarossa takes the concept of a "dream car" to the next level. The Monospecchio (single side mirror halfway up the A-pillar) / Monodado (single central wheel nut) specification is by far the most sought-after. Especially the combination of both features is highly desirable. The history of this particular example is just as impressive: after all, the delivering dealer was no ordinary Ferrari dealer. It was founded by former French Formula 1 driver Charles Pozzi, after whom Maranello even named the color Blu Pozzi as a tribute to the racing legend. Charles raced for one season in the pinnacle of motorsport, in 1950—the very first year the series was called Formula 1.
What makes our Testarossa even more desirable is the fact that the respected Ferrari dealer Kroymans has been responsible for its technically perfect maintenance over the past 32 years. Every detail of this is meticulously documented in the original booklets and folders of the Testarossa. Since the Italian classic was brought to the Netherlands in 1993, it has had a single owner. This makes its history exceptionally clear and perfectly traceable.
Exterior
Anyone who consciously lived through the 80s and 90s will automatically associate the Ferrari brand with the Testarossa. This revolutionary design has left an unforgettable impression and is etched in the memories of many forever. Posters and scale models that decorated countless bedrooms played a role in this. The same goes for the starring role that the Testarossa Monospecchio / Monodado claimed in numerous spectacular chase scenes in the American hit series *Miami Vice*. Because of this, the Ferrari classic has secured a special place in the hearts of car enthusiasts in their 30s and 40s. The Testarossa is pure nostalgia, pure cult, and therefore invaluable.
This is thanks to numerous exhilarating design elements such as the wide, tapering rear end, black covers over the taillights, and, of course, the iconic air intakes just behind the doors, with their artistic airflow guidance starting right behind the front wheels. The raised section on the engine cover is another classic Testarossa hallmark. The unconventional positioning of the single side mirror, mounted high next to the driver, gives the model a unique character. This is exactly how enthusiasts love to see the ultimate Ferrari icon! And, of course, Rosso Corsa is *the
- color for a legendary creation from Maranello—a symbol of the adrenaline now rushing through your veins.
Interior
Besides being instantly recognizable, the design of the Ferrari Testarossa is also angular, perfectly reflecting the era in which it was created. However, the designers didn’t limit themselves to the exterior; they also gave the interior an equally sharp and clean styling. The no-nonsense layout is accentuated in this case by a Nero leather finish on the seats, steering wheel, doors, instrument panel, and the entire dashboard.
