Ferrari SF90 Spider - Nero Stellato
The Ferrari SF90 Spider is the first plug-in hybrid (PHEV) Ferrari spider and the first Ferrari to surpass the performance of the LaFerrari. It features a 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine with 780 hp, working in tandem with three electric motors producing 220 hp. In total, you have about 1,000 hp at your disposal, which is delivered to all four wheels, depending on conditions. The SF90 can drive fully electric (for about 25 km) using only the front axle, with a top speed of 135 km/h. The V8 has boxer-like proportions thanks to the turbos being moved to the sides, allowing it to sit very low in the chassis. Additionally, the engine is 25 kg lighter. With larger turbos than those used in the SF90 Stradale compared to models like the F8 Tributo, it shares a sound reminiscent of the F40!
The gearbox shifts in just 200 milliseconds, all the way up to the 8th gear! Interestingly, the car lacks a traditional reverse gear, as that function is handled by the electric motors on the front wheels, saving about 10 kilograms.
The aerodynamic work on this car is also impressive, achieved without obvious exterior elements. There’s no massive rear spoiler that pops out like on competitors, nor large splitters that disrupt the front’s lines. Everything is neatly integrated, making the SF90 an elegant presence that can still reach 200 km/h in just 6.7 seconds! Yes, you read that correctly!
