Ein fast neuwertige Renault R19 16v mit knapp 66.000 KM Laufleistung. Ein Indoor-Schläfer, das ist sicher. Sonst hätte das Auto wahrscheinlich nie überlebt und schon gar nicht in diesem hervorragenden Zustand. Bei der Ankunft haben wir die Klimaanlage geschlossen (drei Lecks), die Verteilung ausgetauscht und das Auto komplett überprüft. Kompliment vom Renault-Spezialist „Tour de Corse“ in Baarn für die wunderbare Bastelarbeit. „Alle Schrauben und Muttern sind noch locker.“ Ja, das stimmt. Neu ist neu und das merkt man auch bei Wartung und Reparatur. Als Sahnehäubchen auf dem Apfelkuchen haben wir ein „Radio-Renault“ aus den '90 Jahren eingebaut. Ein R19 16v ist ein sehr seltener Hot Hatch aus der Zeit, das meine Generation noch Teenager war, Abschlussprüfungen machte, Hondas MB8 mit MB5-Aufklebern versah und den Simple Minds anhörte. Oder Modern Talking, wenn das Ihre Präferenz ist.

A virtually new Renault 19 16v with barely 63 thousand kilometres of experience under its belt. A sleeper, that much is certain. Otherwise the car would probably never have survived and certainly not in this excellent condition. Upon arrival we closed the air conditioning (three leaks), replaced the timing belt and checked the car completely. Compliments from specialist 'Tour de Corse' in Baarn for the wonderful tinkering. 'All the nuts still come loose'. Yes, that's right. New is new and you notice that during maintenance and repairs. As icing on the cake we installed a 'radio Renault' from the nineties. An R19 16v is a very rare hot hatch from the time when my generation was still in puberty, did their final exams, provided Honda's MB8 with MB5 stickers and listened to Simple Minds.
